Our Story

Welcome to Clemins River Resort, your peaceful and adventure-filled retreat located in the heart of Fremont, Wisconsin. Founded in the fall of 2020 by Pat and Yvonne Clemins, this charming riverside escape is the realization of a long-time dream. After successfully managing several independent cottage rentals in Black River Falls, the Clemins family jumped at the opportunity to purchase an established resort property in Fremont—and with it, they turned a vision into reality. Since its opening, Clemins River Resort has quickly become a favorite destination for vacationers, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Clemins River Resort is proud to offer year-round lodging, boat rentals, and an on-site bait shop and general store to accommodate all your needs for a perfect day or weekend by the water. Whether you're looking for a cozy cabin retreat, planning a special event, or just need a place to rent a boat and hit the water, we’ve got you covered. Our location provides easy, direct access to the river, allowing you to rent a boat—even if you’re staying elsewhere—and enjoy everything the river has to offer from the convenience of our launch site.

Our lodging includes clean, comfortable cabins perfect for couples, families, or groups. Each unit is thoughtfully furnished to provide the comforts of home with the serenity of a riverside setting. Open throughout the year, our cabins offer an ideal getaway in every season—from summer boating adventures to peaceful winter escapes.

Our boat rental services are one of our most popular offerings, with a fleet of well-maintained fishing boats and spacious pontoons available for full or half-day rentals. Whether you’re out to catch the big one or just cruise and relax, our boats provide a fun and safe way to experience the Wolf River and surrounding waterways. And with gas available right on the water, convenience is part of the experience.

At the heart of the resort is our bait shop and store, stocked with everything from live bait and tackle to snacks, drinks, and basic necessities. Whether you're preparing for a day of fishing or just forgot your sunscreen, we’ve got you covered.

Stayed for a week and had a 💥 BLAST 💥!! The resort was clean and just as listed, everyone was friendly and even offered tips and locations to catch fish. Cleaning station, bait, drinks and anything we needed was available. Cannot wait to return next year!
